Women's Advisory Council Holds Orientation for New Members

 

Six new members welcomed to Women's Advisory Council

Six new members welcomed at orientation luncheon.

An orientation session was held on February 20, 2008, at the Foundation’s office for the newest members of the St. Bernards Development FoundationWomen’s Advisory Council.  Katie Prescott,  Emily Devereux, Stephanie Brown, Cindy Garris, Renea Frey and Gina Gomez heard presentation by Beverly McCollum, Chairman of the Council, welcomed the new members. 

Brenda Million, VP & Chief Nursing Office of St. Bernards Medical Center, presented an overview of the organization’s purpose, activities and history.  Susan Greenwood,  AVP Patient Services & Lisa Graves, CFO SHARP reviewed upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

Gina Gomez, Executive Director of the Hispanic Community Services, Inc. located in Jonesboro, was also appointed to the Women's Advisory Council's Executive Committee.

The Women’s Advisory Council is a group of about 120 area women who have joined together in an advisory role to give input on important healthcare issues impacting women and children. They encourage educational as well as service outreach efforts designed to make Jonesboro a better place to live, work and raise families.
