Please join us as we build this Gift of Peace right here at St. Bernards.
Our inpatient care house, named for Flo and Phil Jones, includes 20 private suites in a 19,000-square-foot space, an appropriate number for a Hospice House in our community, given population size and expected length of stay.
The proximity of the new Hospice House to the St. Bernards Medical Center provides a multitude of resources, and security for patients and their families.
The atmosphere at St. Bernards Hospice House is home-like. Families may visit the patient at any time. Each patient room has space for a family member to spend the night. Common-area family rooms and kitchen areas also are available.
A covered drive in front of the home will offer a convenient entryway, protected from the elements. Patients and their families enjoy a covered porch for sitting and talking, a chapel for services and reflection, and a day room with dining area.
Hospice care is a proven choice. The Hospice House allows teams of well-trained and compassionate caregivers to assist patients in private rooms, in a decidedly non-hospital-like setting. It is be a warm, welcoming, and peaceful place.
The 5.5 million dollar Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House provided a much-needed solution for those people who cannot be cared for at the place they call home. This truly is a Gift of Peace.
“How people die remains in the memory of those who live on.” Dame Cicely Saunders, founder of the modern Hospice movement
