The Kresge Foundation of Troy, Michigan, will award $500,000 in the form of a challenge grant contingent upon our securing $5 million in pledges by July 1, 2009. "The additional funding will allow us to complete the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House at St. Bernards in its entirety. The challenge part is we've moved our capital campaign into high gear to meet this new but achievable deadline.

Caring Cooks - Recipes from Home

Caring Cooks cookbook logoThe Foundation has teamed up with The Sun and Bill's Fresh Market to publish a cookbook filled with reader recipes.  Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will benefit the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. Submit your favorite recipes before June 15 by using the convenient form located on The Sun's web site.

Threads of Life Quilt Show arrives in June

Threads for LifeThe Women’s Advisory Council of the St. Bernards Development Foundation will sponsor a free quilt show in Jonesboro Saturday, June 6 & Sunday, June 7 called Threads of Life. The show has grown significantly from the success of last year's inaugural show. This year's show will feature Jim Gatling's Morrilton School quilt collection and a host of vendors from throughout the region.  Admission is free.  Read more.

2009 Triple Swing Logo - Let's Rock-ItThe 2009 St. Bernards Advocates Triple Swing will be June 20, 21 & 22. This year's theme puts us a "bit out there". Starting on Saturday evening with the Dinner and Dance at the St. Bernards Auditorium, continuing on Sunday for the Annual Tennis Bash and concluding on Monday with the 20th Annual Golf Tournament at RidgePointe Country Club. Stacey Harral Joins Board

Stacey HarralWe're honored to announce that Stacey Harral has joined the St. Bernards Development Foundation Board of Directors as our newest member.  An active member of the Women’s Advisory Council and the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House Campaign, Stacey brings both the heart of a dedicated volunteer and her extensive expertise as an investment professional to her new role as a member of our board. Stacey will enhance our programs while giving our donors added confidence in the Foundation's stewardship of their contributions.  Stacey is the Resident Director of Merrill Lynch's Jonesboro office.

Auxiliary calls young people to "Invest Your Summer"
Young people 15 to 18 years of age who are interested in learning more about career options in healthcare - from nursing to public relations to operations, we've got a deal for you!  The St. Bernards Auxiliary is accepting applications for their Junior Volunteer program which will run from July 10 - 31, 2009.
