Two Named to St. Bernards Foundation Board
|
Stacey Harral & Sister Joanne Sandoval
| Two Jonesboro residents have been named to the board of directors of the St. Bernards Development Foundation. They include Stacey Paudert Harral and Sister Joanne Sandoval.
Harral, a native of West Memphis, has lived in Jonesboro 12 years and currently serves as resident manager for Merrill Lynch, where she specializes in retirement and financial planning. She worked at Morgan Stanley prior to moving to Merrill Lynch in 2006.
A graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, she also holds a master’s degree in marketing and business from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Harral is active in Altrusa International and the Arkansas Community Foundation, serving on that organization’s board and as chairman of the ACF development committee. She also serves as chair-elect of the St. Bernards Women’s Advisory Council, a group of about 130 volunteers who serve under the aegis of the St. Bernards Development Foundation.
Harral and her husband, Dr. Russ Harral (co-founder of Vision Care Center), have two children, Emily, 13, and Russell, 6. They are members of First United Methodist Church. She is the daughter of the late Al and June Paudert of West Memphis.
Sister Joanne is a native of Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico, who grew up in Aubrey in north central Texas. She did secretarial work in the Fort Worth area where she reared a family before coming to Holy Angels Convent in Jonesboro in 1977.
She has two sons – George Sandoval and John Sandoval – who live in Fort Worth, and another son – Willie Sandoval – who lives in Burleson, Texas.
The Foundation mission is to support and enhance the mission of St. Bernards Healthcare through funding, volunteerism and community awareness, points out Foundation President Marilyn Hummelstein. Eighteen community members serve on the organization’s board.
“Through the Foundation we enlist and organize volunteers as well as accept donations and other gifts that help position St. Bernards to continue providing the highest quality of care to area residents,” Hummelstein says. “Our role is to bring together those who share our vision and to set the stage for even greater community involvement in true community healthcare.” | |
