Guardian Angels is a new program that offers grateful patients and family members a way to recognize caregivers, nurses, housekeepers, technicians, physicians, volunteers, staff or just about anyone in the medical center who has extended an act of kindness or courtesy that made their time in St. Bernards a bit easier or less stressful. Scholarship Honors Mother
Nursing has been a respected career field in Northeast Arkansas for decades, and youngsters have often looked up to nurses as role models. It was no different for Leta Snow and Lota Palmer, twin sisters from Mountain Home, who grew up in Jonesboro. Because of their strong connection to nursing, they established a scholarship in memory of their mother. The Thelma Puckett Minton Scholarship was established 10 years ago, about a year after the death of their mother, who became an LPN after her children were grown. Learn more.
